This wedding was so special. Ava and Scott were actually already married as they had a small ceremony with just them and a couple witnesses a few months prior. Now they were ready to celebrate with all of their family and friends. The wedding took place on Ava's family's horse ranch, Innovation Arabians, in Port Orange, FL. That made it so personal, not to mention that the area was absolutely gorgeous.
I first met Ava on the ranch for her consultation. One of the first things I noticed about her was that she was walking around in the mud without shoes! I thought, "alright, this girl is my kind of gal." She expressed how important pictures were for her, and I loved that. She walked me around and showed me her ideas and vision for her wedding and I could really see it. I was so excited.
Their day went off without a hitch. Every detail seemed so perfect, quaint, and creative. I love weddings in non-traditional venues. They just seem to be so romantic and personal. Scott proposed on the dock at the pond and so we HAD to take photos there. They were such a sweet couple and it was so cool seeing how much their family and friends loved them.
I hope I stay friends with the girl who went barefoot through her entire wedding day. Ava and Scott, I wish you so many years of romance and happiness. I'm so glad I had the oportunity to be a small part of your big day.
